The daemon owns sessions, accounts, and state — every surface is a view of it.

The harness runs on your machine. Your code, transcripts, and provider credentials live in a local journal and an encrypted vault — they never require anyone's cloud, including ours. Subscription OAuth (Claude, ChatGPT, SuperGrok, Kimi) talks to the provider directly from your device. Only Haider Go — the optional hosted-models plan — routes requests through our gateway, and prompt bodies are never logged.

What is Haider Code?
A first-party coding-agent harness: one Rust binary that is a TUI, a headless runtime, and a per-device daemon, with every piece of interior state exposed as a typed, evented contract. Agents from other vendors run in a terminal; Haider is the layer a whole ecosystem builds on.
How do I use it?
curl -fsSL https://haidercode.ai/install | bash, then run haider. The TUI launcher signs you into a provider and starts your first session.
Do I need extra AI subscriptions?
No. Bring the ones you have — Claude, ChatGPT/codex, SuperGrok, or Kimi subscription OAuth, or any API key. The harness is free with your own accounts, forever.
What is Haider Go then?
The shortcut: hosted open-weight models (DeepSeek, GLM, Qwen, Kimi, MiniMax) behind one subscription — $40/month, or $200/month for Go Max with 20× the usage — with a rolling weekly allowance and usage-credits top-ups. usage-credits are dollars, not mystery units.
Can other tools build on Haider?
That's the point. Sessions stream over the Pipe, hooks are trusted by digest, and the daemon's RPC is versioned — the Diff Forge desktop ADE is built entirely on the same surface you get.
What about my data?
Local-first by construction: journal, vault, and transcripts stay on your device. Go gateway requests pass through our server to the model provider; prompt bodies are never logged and never stored.
Is it open source?
Haider ships under the Kingdom of Abraham Permissive License (KOA-P-1.0), an MIT-equivalent license for the AI-agents era.
